Stoneybatter in Dublin has been named Ireland’s largest gay neighbourhood.
The North Dublin village has the highest share of gay people and same sex couples per capita, new explore has revealed.
They make up almost nine percent of those living in the gaybourhood.
The study by property website has revealed superior 10 places in Ireland with the biggest LGBT communities - and they’re all in the capital.
Grand Canal Dock and Christchurch are ranked second and third, while Dublin 8, Drumcondra, Ranelagh, Rathmines, Smithfield, East Wall and Dublin 1 also make the list.
Economist Ronan Lyons from Trinity College, who wrote the describe, said these areas have almost three times the gay population compared with their neighbours.
