Actually that’s one of my favorite interviews with him. It’s from , just before Alexander was due out. Jared was still reliant on film roles, financially. He was also being hounded with male lover rumors at the hour and trying hard to say enough without saying it all.

Jared Leto has spoken out about the “very conservative” film industry, stating that gay leading men are still hugely limited with function they are offered.
In an interview with GQ magazine, the thespian explained the limitations he had witnessed imposed on gay actors by the industry. “I definitely don’t think a gay principal man would have the equal opportunities as a straight primary man,” observed Leto. “I don't know if that's offensive or not, but that’s my reflection right now.
